Production Control Coordinator

Production Order CoordinatorCoordinates and controls the release, scheduling, and execution of production orders to support manufacturing operations, on-time delivery, and customer requirements. Serves as a key liaison between production, planning, purchasing, shipping, and customer service to ensure efficient workflow, material availability, and schedule adherence.Responsibilities & Duties:Coordinate the release and management of production orders to support production schedules, customer priorities, and delivery commitments.Review and validate production order documentation, including bills of material (BOMs), routings, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to release.Create, maintain, and update production schedules, work orders, and capacity plans to optimize workflow and resource utilization.Monitor production progress and communicate schedule changes, delays, and priorities to production leadership and other functional departments.Coordinate with Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Production teams to identify and resolve material shortages, capacity constraints, and production disruptions.Expedite materials, components, and production orders as needed to support customer delivery requirements and manufacturing schedules.Maintain accurate production data within the company's ERP/MRP system, including order status updates, scheduling information, and inventory transactions.Track and follow up on production orders to ensure timely completion and closure of all required documentation.Serve as a primary point of contact for production scheduling inquiries and coordinate resolution of issues affecting production flow.Collaborate closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, and Shipping departments to support operational objectives.Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to production control, scheduling processes, inventory management, and operational performance.Generate reports and provide production metrics, schedule status updates, and capacity information to management as required.Perform other production planning, scheduling, and coordination duties as assigned.This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.Requirements:Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, one to three years' relevant experience, or equivalent combination of both.Essential Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
