Purpose of Position  

This position is responsible for growing client visibility and conversions across both traditional search (SEO) and AI answer engines (GEO). Working closely with Perrill's other marketing team members, this role translates search and AI visibility opportunities into technical execution and performance that deliver measurable, strategic results for clients. This role also plays a part in keeping Perrill's search and AI strategy current as the industry evolves, adapting techniques and best practices over time. 

Responsibilities  

1. Audit and maintain technical SEO/GEO health across client sites, implementing fixes directly where Perrill has access and delivering recommendations for client implementation where we do not. 
2. Identify content opportunities and citation-building efforts that improve search, AI visibility, and brand authority. 
3. Analyze performance data and present findings and recommendations to clients with clear business impact. 
4. Optimize content and product pages based on data, keyword research, and competitive research. 
5. Implement and validate structured data to support search and AI visibility. 
6. Maintain client search and analytics platforms. 
7. Conduct keyword research and prompt research across traditional and AI-driven search.
8. Build dashboards and reports to track search and AI visibility performance. 
9. Participate in client calls to present strategy, performance, and recommendations. 
10. Perform other duties as assigned. 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities  

• Technical SEO and structured data expertise (audits, crawling, schema markup, site health) 
• Ability to identify gaps and provide search, and AI-informed recommendations to guide content creation 
• Search and AI intent research, including keyword and question (prompt) mining 
• LLM citation literacy and understanding of AI platforms 
• Proficiency with analytics, measurement, and site tools (e.g. GA4, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, Google Merchant Center, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, Screaming Frog, MS Clarity) 
• Familiarity with common CMS platforms (e.g. WordPress, HubSpot) 

Minimum Qualifications  

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field (or equivalent professional experience) 
• 3+ years of experience in SEO or a related digital marketing role 
• Google Analytics (GA4) Certification (required within 90 days of hire, or currently held) 

Preferred Qualifications  

• Previous agency experience 
• Hands-on experience with AI search optimization 
• Additional certifications in SEO tools or platforms a plus (SEMrush, Yoast, HubSpot) 

Salary : $70,000 to $90,000, depending on experience
