Description
American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT, CA CRT, and BLS certifications and 2+ years of experience for a day-shift hospital assignment with no weekends, call, or floating.
Details
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- No weekend, call, or floating requirements
- Uses Epic for electronic charting
- Uses ARIA and Eclipse (Varian) treatment planning systems
- Performs CT simulation and simulation of treatment sites
Requirements
- ARRT certification required
- CA CRT license required if applicable
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Experience with treatment units and pretreatment procedures
- Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
- Experience handling emergency cases
Additional Information
- Competently perform routine and specialized radiation treatments according to physician treatment plans
- Work independently while exercising sound clinical judgment to ensure safe and precise procedures
- Build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams through effective communication and attentive monitoring
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, codes, and policies to maintain patient privacy and safety
- May orient other staff or perform specific specialized procedures
- Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday allowed per contract
- Accepts local candidates
