Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med/Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Pass Fail EKG exam required Description: The position is for a registered nurse specializing in Med/Surg and Telemetry. The nurse will work three 12-hour night shifts. The patient population will primarily consist of medical/surgical patients, including those requiring telemetry monitoring. The nurse will observe and care for patients with respiratory conditions, general medical/surgical diagnoses, and palliative care needs. The nurse will also manage patients with diabetes and post-surgical patients. Floating to other units or facilities may be required based on patient census. The nurse will be responsible for essential skills such as BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with Epic charting system is required. Previous charge nurse experience is preferred. BLS certification is mandatory. Compliance requirements must be fulfilled before the start of the contract. The candidate must be flexible with scheduling and adhere to attendance policies. Understanding the expectations and requirements related to compliance and credentialing is crucial. All candidates must be prepared for the Pass Fail EKG exam during onboarding. The candidate must be able to work with interdisciplinary team support, including pharmacy and respiratory services. The role involves caring for adult and geriatric patients within a 30-bed unit. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with patients and healthcare teams. Candidates must have a valid and unrestricted RN license.
