Ultrasound Sonographer

FemmPro OB/GYN is seeking a dedicated and skilled OB/GYN Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical abilities, proficiency in sonography techniques specific to obstetrics and gynecology, and a compassionate approach to patient care. As an OB/GYN Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations, assisting physicians in diagnosing conditions, and ensuring the highest quality of patient care. Key Responsibilities: Conduct high-quality ultrasound examinations for obstetric and gynecological patients, including 2D, 3D, and 4D imaging. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining the procedure, positioning them appropriately, and ensuring their comfort. Operate ultrasound equipment and adjust settings to optimize image quality while adhering to safety protocols. Analyze and interpret ultrasound images, providing preliminary reports to physicians. Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss findings and contribute to the clinical decision-making process. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including images and reports, in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols. Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with techniques, equipment, and best practices in obstetric and gynecologic sonography. Assist in training and mentoring new staff or students as needed. Maintain ultrasound equipment and perform routine quality assurance checks. Qualifications: Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) preferred; or registry-eligible candidates encouraged to apply. Proven experience as a sonographer, with a focus on obstetrics and gynecology preferred. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as it relates to obstetric and gynecological ultrasound. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on patient care. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret sonographic images. Proficiency in using electronic medical records and ultrasound imaging systems. Nt Certification a plus but will train and certify.
