ELECTRICAL MEP ENGINEER – NYC Metro

Growing MEP consulting engineering firm is seeking an Electrical MEP Engineer to join its building design team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with 2+ years of electrical building design experience who wants to work on a variety of commercial, residential, institutional, and mixed-use projects.

Responsibilities:

• Electrical power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage system design
• Load calculations, equipment sizing, and electrical system layouts
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, and details
• Coordinate designs with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, and structural teams
• Perform site surveys and assist with construction administration
• Utilize Revit and AutoCAD for design and documentation

Requirements:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of electrical MEP/building design experience
• Strong knowledge of NEC and applicable building codes
• Revit and AutoCAD experience
• EIT or PE is a plus
• Strong communication and project coordination skills
