The hospital features a 22-bed adult inpatient unit supported by a collaborative, physician-led multidisciplinary team, with additional services spanning dual diagnosis, adolescent inpatient psychiatry, emergency department psychiatry, consult-liaison services, partial hospitalization programs, and outpatient behavioral health ambulatory services.

Physician – Psychiatry

Job Details:

• Provide inpatient psychiatric care for adults with a broad range of psychiatric conditions on a 22-bed adult inpatient unit shared between two physician-led teams
• Collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary treatment team in a supportive and collegial practice environment
• Participate in psychiatry resident supervision and medical student education
• Eligible for an academic appointment through the University of Connecticut School of Medicine
• Monday through Friday schedule with no required after-hours call
• Optional moonlighting opportunities available for additional income
• Access to a Provider Leadership Development Institute for continued professional growth
• Dedicated support through an Office of Provider Wellness
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry required
• MD or DO degree required
• Must be eligible for an unrestricted Connecticut medical license
• Interest in academic psychiatry, teaching, and leadership preferred
• Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based behavioral healthcare
