Pega Lead Developer

Job Title : Pega Lead Developer Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite) Pay Rate: $69/hr - $74/hr Contract Length: 18 Months Note: We are not able to consider C2C or third-party submissions Role Overview We are seeking a hands-on Pega Lead Developer with expertise in Pega Case Management and system integrations. This role combines technical leadership with active development responsibilities. The ideal candidate will design and build high-quality Pega solutions while guiding team members, enforcing best practices, and partnering with architects, product owners, and integration teams. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of Pega applications, with a strong emphasis on case management and workflow orchestration. Actively contribute to development, including rules, flows, integrations, UI, and decisioning, as a hands-on lead. Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable Pega designs. Ensure solutions align with Pega Guardrails, performance standards, and enterprise architecture guidelines. Design and implement end-to-end case lifecycles, including stages, steps, SLAs, approvals, and escalations. Mentor and support junior and mid-level developers through code reviews and hands-on guidance. Participate in performance tuning and defect resolution. Support deployment activities and production troubleshooting when needed. Required Qualifications 8+ years of IT experience. 5+ years of hands-on Pega engineering and platform experience, with significant development. Strong expertise in complex Pega Case Management. Proven experience with Pega system integrations (REST/SOAP, services, connectors). Experience leading or mentoring development teams. Pega certifications such as CSSA and/or CLSA. Preferred Qualifications Cloud migration experience. Experience with Pega Infinity. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for Pega. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
