Senior Scientist - Flow Cytometry

Job Summary: The Senior Scientist - Flow Cytometry is responsible for developing and optimizing assays and methods of moderate complexity within the Translational Science Laboratory. This role supports timely delivery, technical troubleshooting, cross-functional collaboration, and scalable laboratory operations. What You'll Be Doing: Plan the assay and method development process and write scientific methods Execute method development studies and support validation activities as needed Troubleshoot assays and optimize processes to improve performance and sustainability Transfer developed methods into the validation process and support analytical testing delivery Collaborate across functions to ensure methods are scalable and sustainable in laboratory operations Lead low to moderately complex technical projects and guide assigned team members to meet deliverables Mentor and train junior staff while contributing to reports, presentations, and scientific communications What We Are Looking For: Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline is required 4 years of related experience in method or assay development or specific methodology area Experience with assay/method development, troubleshooting, and process optimization in a laboratory environment Sound knowledge of scientific principles, theories, concepts, and state of the art instrumentation Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role: Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail Effective communication and presentation skills with the ability to work across functions Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and independently while meeting timeline expectations Sound troubleshooting capabilities and application of root cause analysis and advanced problem solving techniques Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients What We Offer You: We put our employees at the center of everything we do and are committed to providing them, and their families, with benefits that meet their diverse and changing needs. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
