Telecom Permitting Specialist
Client:
Our client is an established telecommunications infrastructure company providing engineering, permitting, and construction services for fiber, broadband, and outside plant projects. They are seeking a Permitting Specialist in the Sarasota, FL market to support telecommunications projects within public rights-of-way.

Short Overview of Responsibilities:
- Prepare, submit, and track permits for fiber and telecommunications construction within public rights-of-way
- Coordinate permitting with Manatee County, FDOT, municipalities, and other local agencies
- Review construction drawings and permit packages for completeness and compliance
- Track permit status, comments, revisions, approvals, and expiration dates
- Respond to agency comments and coordinate required revisions with engineering and project teams
- Maintain permitting documentation and provide regular updates on project schedules
- Help identify permitting issues that could impact construction timelines
You Should Apply If You Have:
- Experience with telecommunications, fiber, OSP, utility, or right-of-way permitting
- Strong familiarity with permitting requirements in Sarasota, Manatee County, and FDOT
- Experience submitting and managing ROW and utility permit applications
- Ability to read and review telecom/OSP construction drawings and route plans
- Experience working directly with municipalities, counties, DOTs, and permitting authorities
- Strong organization and ability to manage multiple permits and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills
Location: Remote - Candidates must be local to the Sarasota/Manatee County area
