We’re looking for a Part-Time or Full-Time Sales Advisor / Optician with a natural eye for style, a strong understanding of eyewear, and the ability to turn each interaction into an exceptional client experience. This role is ideal for someone who is equally confident interpreting a prescription, styling luxury frames, educating clients on premium lenses, and closing a sale with warmth, not pressure.

You will work with a curated collection of independent and luxury eyewear brands, advanced ZEISS lens technology, and clients who value expert guidance, thoughtful recommendations, and elevated service.

What You'll Do

\n

\n
• Guide clients through a personalized eyewear styling experience based on their prescription, lifestyle, facial features, and personal style
\n
• Recommend premium frames, lens designs, treatments, tints, and sunwear with confidence and clarity
\n
• Translate technical lens information into compelling, easy-to-understand benefits
\n
• Take accurate optical measurements, including PDs, segment heights, and other frame-specific measurements
\n
• Perform frame adjustments, fittings, repairs, and final quality-control inspections
\n
• Interpret prescriptions and identify potential concerns before orders are placed
\n
• Create accurate eyewear orders and follow them through production, delivery, and final dispense
\n
• Build lasting client relationships through thoughtful follow-up, clienteling, and personalized recommendations
\n
• Maintain detailed client records and proactively communicate order updates
\n
• Support sales goals, conversion, average order value, and overall optical performance
\n

You're The Right Fit If You

\n

\n
• Have experience in optical sales, luxury retail, eyewear styling, or opticianry
\n
• Understand ophthalmic lenses, frame selection, measurements, adjustments, and dispensing
\n
• Have a genuine interest in fashion, design, and helping clients find eyewear
\n
• Are comfortable recommending premium products and asking for the sale
\n
• Can balance sales performance with honest, client-centered guidance
\n
• Have exceptional attention to detail and take pride in getting every measurement and order right
\n
• Communicate with warmth, confidence, and professionalism
\n
• Create memorable experiences that encourage repeat business and referrals
\n
• Are proactive, dependable, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
\n
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-touch boutique environment
\n
• Enjoy receiving feedback, refining your approach, and continuously improving

• Are available to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends

Luxury eyewear experience, ZEISS lens knowledge, New York State optician licensure, and familiarity with RevolutionEHR, VSP, EyeMed, and Spectera are strongly preferred.

Compensation

\n

$27–$35 per hour, depending on experience, plus performance-based sales incentives
