Senior Security Software Engineer, IAM

Salary: $75,000 - 115,000 per year Requirements:

• Were looking for 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining IAM products or tools.
• We value a production-ready, automation-first mindset, including experience with scalable software, infrastructure as code, and AI coding tools to build dependable automation.
• We need strong IAM expertise, including best practices and common failure modes such as least privilege, privilege escalation paths, separation of duties, breakglass access, and auditability.
• We require a bachelors degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• We prefer candidates who have demonstrated shipping experience.

• We want you to act as the technical developer for IAM application work by coding, designing, and implementing solutions using AWS, Azure, Teleport, and Terraform.
• We expect you to lead IAM initiatives from ambiguity through requirements definition, architecture, rollout, and operationalization.
• We need you to design secure access models across AWS, Kubernetes, SaaS applications, and internal systems to reduce privilege sprawl and manual access grants.
• We want you to operationalize logging and metrics so access changes are visible in our SIEM and reporting highlights risky access and drift.
• We expect you to run and improve user access reviews so they meet compliance needs while lowering approver effort through automation and decision support.
• We want you to identify high-risk permissions and misuse paths, then develop mitigations and drive secure adoption with partner teams.
• We need you to apply strong security judgment, distinguish real IAM risk from noise, and escalate issues with clear rationale and practical next steps.
• We expect you to document procedures, runbooks, and automation so access decisions are consistent, scalable, and not dependent on tribal knowledge.
