About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Brokerage Sales to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the commercial strategy for both carrier and customer sales teams, working closely with the CEO to set and execute directions. This is a player-coach role, where the VP will be expected to continue personal production, bring in accounts, and lead by example. The role also involves recruiting, developing, and mentoring sales talent at all levels, helping to establish KPIs, accountability structures, and sales processes that support a scaling organization. The ideal candidate will have a relationship-first approach to sales, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to earn the respect of both the sales team and the company's most important customers. Applicants for the VP of Brokerage Sales position at the company should have 8 to 15+ years of progressive sales experience in freight brokerage, with a proven track record in both personal production and team development. The role requires a candidate with strong strategic instincts, the ability to shape the commercial direction of a growth-stage brokerage, and a background in both carrier and customer-facing sales. Experience in a mid-size or growth-stage brokerage, where the candidate helped build a commercial team, is a plus.
