QC Microbiologist 1

GE HealthCare seeks a QC Microbiologist to perform microbiological testing on injectable pharmaceutical products, including sterility, bioburden, and endotoxin analysis. The role involves cleanroom operations, environmental monitoring, and support for validation studies in a pharmaceutical diagnostics manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform bioburden, sterility, and bacterial endotoxin testing on finished products and raw materials
• Conduct viable and non-viable environmental monitoring in ISO classified cleanrooms
• Monitor growth media and perform isolate identification from environmental and sterility samples
• Operate facility monitoring systems, particle counters, and Total Organic Carbon analyzer
• Participate in validation projects and contribute to process improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related science discipline
• Knowledge of microbiological techniques including gram staining and aseptic procedures
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Access
• Ability to work early shifts (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) and occasional weekends/holidays
• Ability to distinguish color and lift 25 pounds
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship not available

Compensation: $47,600-$71,400 annual base
