Carl F. Riedell & Son is hiring an experienced HVAC Lead Installer to join our growing team in Osterville, MA.

This is a hands-on leadership position for an HVAC professional who can lead installations, work alongside a helper, and take ownership of each job from start to finish. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and is willing to teach and develop less-experienced installers.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential and light commercial HVAC installations
• Install heat pumps, ductless systems, furnaces, air handlers, and related equipment
• Work alongside installation helpers and provide hands-on training and guidance
• Teach and share HVAC installation knowledge with team members
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications
• Perform system start-ups, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
• Ensure installations meet applicable codes and manufacturer specifications
• Communicate with customers, foremen, and other Riedell team members
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites and vehicles
• Identify potential issues and communicate them to the appropriate team members
• Take responsibility for the quality and completion of each installation

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC installation experience
• Strong residential HVAC installation experience
• Experience with heat pumps, ductless systems, furnaces, and air handlers
• Knowledge of HVAC installation practices, codes, and manufacturer requirements
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and equipment specifications
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to train and mentor less-experienced installers
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license and clean driving record
• EPA certification preferred
• Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in attics, crawlspaces, basements, and varying weather conditions
