Position SummaryThe role involves conducting diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through interpretation. Responsibilities also include performing EKGs, phlebotomy, IV insertions, autologous and therapeutic donations, as well as obtaining vital signs.
Key Responsibilities- Support the achievement of departmental goals while adhering to policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations. Ensure compliance with governmental and accreditation requirements.
- Develop radiographic films and assess them for technical quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, reporting any unsafe conditions. Ensure that X-ray and other equipment are kept in optimal working condition, performing preventative maintenance regularly.
- Gather patient history, address inquiries, and explain procedures to patients.
- Measure and document vital signs as required.
- Engage in multidisciplinary teams focused on quality and service improvement.
- Conduct radiographic examinations and may assist licensed practitioners with specialized fluoroscopic interventional procedures. Perform non-interpretive fluoroscopic tasks as permitted by state regulations.
- Prepare necessary documentation such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, and progress reports. Access, manipulate, store, and create CDs from PACS.
- Order and manage supplies to ensure availability of materials. Monitor drug supplies and notify the appropriate personnel for restocking.
- Transport patients to the radiographic room as needed and prepare the room accordingly.
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
- Associate's degree is preferred.
- No prior work experience is required.
- ARRT Radiology Technology license in the State of Maryland is mandatory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency is preferred.
This position offers a salary range of USD $29.73 - USD $53.49 per hour.
