Job Description

Join our team as a Pharmacy Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient preparation of prescriptions. This position requires working from 7 am to 3:30 pm, with every other Saturday scheduled, offering a day off on Wednesdays if working on Saturday. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including the manual handling of materials and assisting in medication processing.

Responsibilities

• Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner under the supervision of a pharmacist.

• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.

• Prepack frequently ordered medications, label, and store them during low volume times.

• Package materials and products manually.

• Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas.

• Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy checks.

• Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly.

• Maintain designated workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed.

• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.

• Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected.

Work Environment

This position operates on a schedule from 7 am to 3:30 pm, including every other Saturday, with a day off on Wednesdays when working Saturdays. Physical demands include sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking intermittently throughout the day, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds. The role requires visual acuity for reading fine print and color vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus. A 10% shift differential will be added to base pay for shifts covering hours after 5 pm. The work environment is a supportive space where safety, attendance, and dress code compliance are emphasized.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burr Ridge, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
