Position Summary

The Fitness Attendant plays an important role in creating a positive experience for fitness center members and guests. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe facility, providing excellent customer service, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the fitness center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to fitness center members and guests.
• Assist with new member registrations and orientation processes.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workout environment.
• Clean fitness equipment and common areas according to established procedures.
• Restock supplies and notify management of inventory needs.
• Answer member questions and assist with general fitness center operations.
• Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all members and visitors.
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and facility policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Interest in health, fitness, and wellness.
• Previous customer service, fitness, or recreational facility experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.
