Homestead is seeking a reliable, skilled Maintenance Technician who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and keeping our communities running smoothly. As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and timely repairs across our communities. You'll help ensure our buildings, equipment, and systems operate efficiently while identifying opportunities to improve reliability, extend the life of our assets, and provide residents with a safe, comfortable place to call home.

Compensation:

$25.5 - $27.5 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs to maximize equipment performance, extend asset life, and promote a safe working environment.

• Perform siding and minor roofing repairs to maintain the appearance and structural integrity of residential and commercial properties.

• Inspect windows, doors, walls, and other building components for damage and complete repairs in a timely manner.

• Respond to a variety of maintenance requests with professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail.

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, preventative maintenance, service requests, and completed repairs.

• Independently prioritize and complete assigned work orders and maintenance tasks across multiple properties.

• Safely operate ladders and work at elevated heights as required to complete maintenance and repair projects.

• Troubleshoot equipment and building system issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective solutions.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.

• Assist with property improvement projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in maintenance, facilities, property maintenance, or a related field required.

• Valid driver's license required.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours, evening, weekend, and emergency maintenance requests as needed.

• Strong communication, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Solid knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, repair techniques, and preventative maintenance practices.

• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.

• Ability to diagnose maintenance issues, troubleshoot problems, and complete repairs efficiently and safely.

• Functional smartphone required to access and complete work orders through the company's maintenance management application.

• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
