Job Summary: Responsible for overall management, supervision and preparation of meals for Dietary Services compliant with Residents’ Diet Orders, menu specifications, Company Policies, Dietary /Sanitary Regulations; ensures high standards of quality in food preparation and service with consultation of Dietary Consultant; ensures accuracy of grocery orders, inventory records; ensures adequate inventory; must communicate courteously and respectfully with Employees, Residents and others; maintains high degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene Qualifications: Prefer Supervisory experience in large-scale cooking and food service position; must be able to obtain and maintain any required certificates; must be in good physical condition, be able to read and write to accomplish job duties; must pass drug screens and have a satisfactory Criminal History Background Check Duties and Responsibilities: Commitment to providing compassionate care to our elders Monitors and evaluates performance of Dietary staff; consults with Administrator prior to Disciplinary Action Plans menu cycles and modifies menus for special diets as ordered by Physician Completes Nutritional Assessments on new Residents; makes monthly and quarterly progress notes; visits each new Resident to obtain basic food requirements and preferences Maintains current Cardex, Diet List, Diet Count; oversees and records supplemental nourishments to Residents Excellent Benefits: Bedford Care Centers offer a comprehensive benefits package to our full time employees.
