Maintenance Technician 1st ShiftWieland is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our 101 facility. The maintenance technician will be responsible for maintaining the production equipment, the building, and support equipment in the manufacturing operation so they are available to achieve the production goals and objectives. Determine causes of breakdown or failure in electrical or mechanical equipment. Repairs, adjusts, modifies, and services all equipment. Works as directed with project Manufacturing Manager. This role is located at 101 Industry Way, Staunton, VA and will be fully on-site.Hourly Pay Range: $31.61-$45.91/per hour, with compensation adjusted based on experience and qualifications.Work Schedule: 1st Shift (Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm)Pay Schedule: Bi-weeklyAt Wieland, we recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be based upon various factors unique to each individual that may include but are not limited to years of experience, industry knowledge, technical skills, education, qualifications, etc.Responsibilities1st Shift Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:Work safely and promote the safety of those working around you; help build a proactive safety cultureIdentify and correct potential safety hazards in order to prevent injuriesMake the equipment available to the production workforce by: Determining the cause of equipment breakdown or failure and make necessary repairsAnalyzing drawings, manuals, wiring diagrams, etc. as required to install, repair, calibrate or otherwise service all types of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic devices and systemsApplying preventative methods and routine maintenance to reduce unplanned equipment downtimeTroubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctionsProvide input into the preventive maintenance programsSupport management of spare parts inventoriesKeep the building and support equipment in working order by performing repairs and modificationsCoordinate with outside maintenance and repair contractors when necessary to complete workDevelop and support maintenance scheduling and planning including Preventative Maintenance effortsActively participate in 5S activitiesQualifications1st Shift Maintenance Technician Qualifications:A demonstrated safety orientation5 years manufacturing related maintenance experienceExperience troubleshooting PLC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic machine systems Electrical knowledge up to 480 voltsSelf-starter with a proactive mindset able to prioritize work based on the schedules, goals and objectives of the organization.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writingExperience using a maintenance management system such as FIIXJoining Wieland's team gives you…Benefits - Starting on Day 1!
