This approximately 200-bed facility in Wisconsin maintains established clinical infrastructure and protocols to support locum tenens cardiothoracic surgery coverage across OR and ER settings. The facility operates on-site and provides the resources necessary to facilitate coordinated patient care delivery throughout each assigned coverage period. On-site support, including an existing Physician Associate, is in place to assist with continuity of care for the cardiothoracic surgery service line. About the Facility Location

The Physician Associate will provide cardiothoracic surgery coverage across OR and ER settings on a day shift basis, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with weeknight call coverage running 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM when on call. Substantial cardiovascular/thoracic surgery experience is required for this on-site assignment. Clinical responsibilities include endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH), CABG assistance, postoperative cardiac and thoracic patient management, chest tube/drain/line management, and perioperative consultation. Prescriptive authority is required, and one existing Physician Associate is available on-site to support coverage.
