Job Description

The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in the Emergency Department. The RN will be responsible for assessing patients upon admission and throughout their stay, administering IV medications and therapy, providing patient education, and documenting nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients in admission and throughout their stay.
• Administer IV medications, therapy, and blood as needed.
• Provide patient education and document nursing care actions.
• Work in charge nurse and preceptor roles as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
• Candidates with hits/actions on their license/background will not be accepted.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
