Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, selecting appropriate diagnostic tests, and designing tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, collaborating with physicians or working independently (per your credentials)
• Providing education to patients and families on prevention strategies, wellness practices, and effective disease management
• Prescribing treatments and medications appropriate to your practice scope

Educational Prerequisites

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree
• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Required Credentials

• Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain within 90 days)
