Receiving and Logistics Technician

Division / Department: Custodial and Maintenance Classification (FLSA): Full-time, Non-Exempt Position Group: Maintenance Grade Level (per CBA): Grade IV Full-Time Equivalent (FTE): 1.0 Anticipated Work Year & Hours*: 260 Days (12 – Month) Union Membership: Proviso Custodial and Maintenance Union SEIU Local 73, CTW Reports to: Custodial and Maintenance Building Lead; Director of Buildings and Grounds Key Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming shipments for accuracy and condition. Maintain and update inventory records, including entering data into inventory management systems. Use Qtrak software to route and deliver packages efficiently within the school. Operate radios to dispatch maintenance and other staff to assigned work locations. Coordinate with maintenance team and other departments to ensure timely delivery and handling of materials. Maintain an organized receiving area and ensure proper storage of supplies. Prepare and submit reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as needed. Assist with periodic inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. Provide excellent customer service to staff and vendors regarding deliveries and inventory inquiries. Snow removal Enter school dude for building repairs and closeout when complete Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the administration.* Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience with inventory management systems (experience with Qtrak preferred). Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Ability to communicate clearly via radio and other communication tools. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. Ability to lift and move packages as needed. Working Conditions: Fast-paced school environment. Frequent interaction with school staff, vendors, and maintenance team. May require standing, walking, and occasional lifting of packages.
