Business Development Manager - Commercial Real Estate / Rooftop Solar

The Role This is a relationship and portfolio-management-led role; you'll own the commercial relationship with landlords and rooftop brokers across an entire portfolio - serving as the external point person for your landlord accounts and the internal \"point guard\" who pulls in the right people at the right time to solve problems and keep projects moving. A successful candidate in this role will hit the ground running on existing landlord relationships, keep a high volume of projects moving through development and construction, and become the person that brokers and real estate firms want to do repeat business with. What You'll Do Manage and expand relationships with rooftop brokers and landlords across a national portfolio Lead RFP responses and drive lease negotiations from site award through to execution Develop a working knowledge of rooftop project economics - understanding what drives the model and finding commercial solutions when costs shift (e.g. interconnection) Coordinate internally across development, interconnection, construction, and markets teams to deliver successful project outcomes Analyze community solar markets and policy regimes to inform where the business invests time and capital. What We're Looking For 3–5 years of experience in renewable energy, real estate, finance, or a similarly analytical field - background is open, but genuine curiosity about the energy transition is essential Strong relationship instincts and portfolio management ability Comfortable with financial models; able to understand key project economics and communicate them clearly A problem-solver who gets hands dirty High energy, humble, and hungry - this is a growth opportunity for someone earlier in their career who wants to make a real impact Demonstrated interest in renewable energy and clean energy deployment Location: New York City: Monday to Thursday in-office #J-18808-Ljbffr talisman
