Job Summary

Xray Technologist Madison, Wisconsin. The role performs a wide variety of diagnostic imaging examinations for neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients using radiographic equipment, computers, detectors, and plate readers. The position also supports image quality assurance, basic equipment troubleshooting, image processing, and image archiving while making timely technical decisions to accommodate patient conditions and physical restrictions.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications:
  • Registered Radiologic TechnologistRadiography (RRT-R) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • State of Wisconsin licensed radiographer
  • Graduate of a school of radiologic technology
  • Two years of experience required
  • Required experience with charting systems
  • Required experience in a Level II trauma setting
  • Proficiency with radiographic examinations and procedures including portable imaging, trauma cases, emergency department imaging, operating room procedures, contrast studies, orthopedic imaging, abdominal imaging, chest imaging, spine imaging, pediatric imaging, radiation safety, infection prevention, and isolation precautions
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Level I trauma setting.
• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of 10-hour shifts, including Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; holiday coverage and three call shifts per month are required. The position is scheduled for a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include performing imaging examinations across multiple patient age groups, troubleshooting basic equipment and image-processing issues, participating in quality assurance activities, and resolving issues related to the image archiving system. The role requires the ability to make highly technical decisions based on patient pathology and physical limitations.
