Senior Systems Engineer AI Integration (Hybrid – San Diego, CA or Kirkland, WA) We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer for a large, global B2B high‑tech company. In this role, you will build software tools to automate deployment and testing of compute infrastructure, apply test‑driven development principles, and help us move closer to our goal of continuous delivery. This is a 12‑month contract (extension possible), 40 hours per week, hybrid role, 2–3 days onsite at the client’s office in San Diego, CA or Kirkland, WA. It is a W2 employee of Stage 4 Solutions. Responsibilities Build software tools to automate deployment and testing of compute infrastructure Scale critical services to support customer growth Apply test‑driven development principles and help the team move closer to continuous delivery Research and implement new open‑source and commercial tools, technologies, and methodologies Collaborate with peer teams that have built world‑class networking and orchestration solutions Requirements Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about integrating AI into work processes, decision‑making, or problem‑solving, including using AI‑powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI‑driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry. Strong background in programming with Python Strong background in Linux systems architecture and engineering Experience managing infrastructure as code with Terraform Experience with a configuration‑management platform such as Puppet at scale Understanding of core concepts around Kubernetes and Docker Prior experience in software development or release management is highly desirable Familiarity with virtualization and cloud infrastructure technologies 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or equivalent work experience.
