The PE has technical authority from Engineering Leadership to execute the assigned program and is accountable for ensuring technical performance across the full program lifecycle. This includes, but is not limited to:Planning and execution of program activitiesDocumentation and approval of program plansEnsuring life-cycle process adherenceRisk identification, tracking, and managementCustomer and Senior Leadership interactionOverall program coordination throughout the program lifecycleThe PE is responsible for ensuring technical compliance across total operations activities. The individual Engineering Functional Task Leaders (Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Specialty Engineering, Technical Publications, Configuration Management, etc.) receive technical direction from the PE for assigned programs and provide project status updates to the PE.In addition, the Project Engineer serves as a key technical interface to Customers and is responsible for engaging with Customers at every phase of the program lifecycle.In this role, the PE will also provide technical leadership and coordination for a mission-critical operational environment that includes satellite subscription support and management, web-based platform and supporting infrastructure, and networking operations. The PE will help ensure alignment between software, infrastructure, networking, communications, and operational support functions to meet mission and customer requirements.Essential Functions:Lead technical planning, execution, and coordination for assigned program activitiesEnsure adherence to engineering life-cycle processes, technical baselines, and program plansIdentify, assess, and manage technical and program risksCoordinate across multidisciplinary engineering teams and operational stakeholdersServe as a primary technical interface to internal leadership and external customersOversee technical performance of platform capabilities spanning software, infrastructure, networking, and operations supportSupport delivery and sustainment of a React-based web platform deployed in a Kubernetes/containerized environmentCoordinate technical activities associated with AWS Cloud-hosted systems and their integration into broader enterprise or mission networksSupport technical planning and issue resolution involving network architecture, assured communications paths, and SATCOM-connected operational sitesPartner with operations center personnel to ensure effective support, monitoring, and management of mission operationsEnsure technical compliance and mission readiness across all relevant engineering and operational activitiesQualifications:Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experienceActive DoD Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret (SCI) Security Clearance, which requires U.S. CitizenshipSoftware or Systems Engineering experiencePreferred Additional Skills:Project Engineering experience Experience supporting or overseeing development of web-based applications, preferably using React or VueJSExperience with containerized application environments and orchestration platforms such as KubernetesExperience with AWS Cloud-based architectures, hosting environments, and cloud operationsUnderstanding of networking concepts, architectures, and integration within larger mission or enterprise environmentsExperience with SATCOM systems, assured communications architectures, or communications paths supporting remote or designated sitesExperience working with operational support teams, network operations centers, or mission operations centersAbility to coordinate technical efforts across software, cloud, networking, communications, and operations disciplinesExperience in mission-critical, high-availability, or secure communications environments preferredL3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
