Head of Mobile & Frontend Development

Location: Brooklyn Center, Minnesota — in person

SALERRU Inc. is building a trust-first peer-to-peer marketplace designed around safer listings, clearer exchanges, stronger payments, and a better buying and selling experience.

We are seeking a hands-on technical leader to own SALERRU’s mobile and frontend product experience across web, iOS, and Android.

What You’ll Lead

• Lead development of SALERRU’s mobile-first customer experience
• Build and maintain modern frontend applications using React and TypeScript
• Help establish architecture for iOS and Android product experiences
• Translate product designs and prototypes into polished, production-ready interfaces
• Build reusable components and scalable frontend systems
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and marketplace services
• Optimize performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and reliability
• Establish frontend engineering standards, testing practices, and code-review processes
• Work closely with Product Design/UX and Backend/Payments leadership
• Help shape technical hiring and the future engineering organization

What We’re Looking For

• Strong professional experience with React and TypeScript
• Strong modern JavaScript and frontend architecture knowledge
• Experience building production mobile or mobile-first applications
• Experience integrating REST or similar APIs
• Strong understanding of responsive design and component-based development
• Experience with testing, debugging, performance optimization, and deployment
• Ability to lead technically while remaining hands-on with development
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Marketplace, e-commerce, fintech, or startup experience is a plus

Current Technology Environment

SALERRU currently uses React 19, TypeScript, Vite, and a mobile-first product approach. This role will have significant influence over the future frontend and mobile architecture.

Compensation & Startup Stage

SALERRU is a bootstrapped, pre-revenue startup. Equity ownership is a central part of the compensation structure for early leadership roles. Any cash compensation, stipend, or future salary arrangement will be documented separately and should not be assumed unless included in the final written offer.

Work Location

This is an in-person leadership opportunity based at SALERRU’s Brooklyn Center, Minnesota office. Candidates willing to relocate may also be considered.
