Logistics Associate

The Associate will support improving our transportation strategic initiatives to enhance processes within our Logistics Operations Center team. Responsibilities include transportation scheduling, tracking line hauls, negotiating spot market freight, managing exceptions and communicating cross-functionally to create seamless shipping execution across our network. You will Report to the Associate Manager / Manager to manage, monitor and develop recovery plans for outbound loads Execute outbound strategy - working across all distribution centers, third-party storage locations, cross docks, and vendors Monitor, measure, and improve service level metrics, including on-time arrival and on-time departure Determine root causes and ensure details of escalations are provided and accurate Execute relabeling of boxes from label generation to pushing customer communication updates Quickly and effectively analyze real-time data to provide recovery and contingency action plans Run the daily Exception Management process, communicating potential delays and assigning boxes to be re-made, with the goal of protecting the customer experience Track, organize, log and root cause major exceptions events; analyzing the impact of these events to weekly error data Solve unique and challenging problems faced in a perishable supply chain Become part of a passionate team that strives to develop innovative solutions to improve and grow HelloFresh’s delivery network Build relationships with third-party carriers and execute plans to secure loads against forecasted volume Work directly with our outbound transportation team to lead and reinforce operational process improvement projects Drive a customer-focused environment committed to delivering the highest quality product to our customers You are Data-driven – you can organize, explore, and synthesize unstructured data into actionable insights to better inform operational decision-making Intellectually curious – you have an insatiable desire to understand how things work, why they work the way they do, and to consistently challenge the status quo Detail-oriented – you possess strong organizational skills and consistently demonstrate a methodical approach to all your work Agile – you thrive in fast-paced and dynamic environments and are comfortable working autonomously A critical thinker – you use logic to identify opportunities, evaluate alternatives, and synthesize and present critical information to solve complex problems An excellent communicator – able to communicate at all levels with clarity, poise, maturity and precision both written and verbal Collaborative - you enjoy working cross-functionally with various teams to gather key inputs, and are able to work well with diverse opinions Dedicated to providing the best possible experience for the HelloFresh customer You have Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Supply Chain, or other relevant areas of study required 2 years of experience delivering analytical solutions to complex problems required Ability to travel up to 10% within the United States required Experience working with transportation management software (E2Open, BluJay) preferred Flexible in working a non M-F work schedule (e.g. rotational schedule, weekends, and/or overnights).
