Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using a combination of standardized assessments and observational insights.
Craft tailored treatment plans that incorporate short-term objectives alongside overarching communication and swallowing goals.
Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions focusing on crucial aspects such as language, fluency, voice production, and swallowing techniques.
Forge collaborative relationships with fellow healthcare professionals, including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, and physicians to develop integrated strategies for patient care.
Empower patients and their families with educational resources and support to foster progress outside the treatment environment.
Engage in periodic inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions to ensure cohesive and continuous treatment strategies.
Uphold meticulous documentation practices, keeping track of patient progress in compliance with relevant guidelines.
Commit to ongoing professional development by staying abreast of the latest research and techniques in the field.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution is required.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is necessary for those yet to achieve ASHA certification.
Possession of state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within the first 30 days of employment.
Expertise in evidence-based therapy practices applicable to diverse age groups, with an understanding of both developmental and acquired communication disorders.
Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues.
Skill in adapting therapy methods to respect and meet a variety of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
