Description

• Assess patients of all ages using both standardized and observational techniques to identify their unique communication needs.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that target immediate objectives as well as ongoing communication and swallowing skills.
• Deliver focused speech therapy sessions emphasizing language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, and family members to ensure a seamless patient care experience.
• Educate patients and their families to enhance engagement and progress outside of structured therapy sessions.
• Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring comprehensive support throughout the recovery journey.
• Keep meticulous documentation in accordance with applicable guidelines and standards.
• Engage in professional development and continue to stay ahead in the field through education and collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you have not yet achieved ASHA certification.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment.
