Title: RN – Pediatric ICU (PICU)

Location: New York, New York

Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension)

Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday

Weekly Hours: 37.5 Hours

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care to critically ill pediatric patients in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will perform patient assessments, administer treatments, assist with advanced procedures, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric ICU patients

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing monitoring

• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies

• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures

• Assist with and monitor conscious sedation procedures

• Monitor patient responses and identify changes in condition

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation

• Ensure compliance with patient safety and infection control standards

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN License

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) required

• AHA BLS Certification

• AHA PALS Certification

• Minimum 2 years of Maternal and Child nursing experience

• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience

• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience

• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous Pediatric ICU experience

• Experience in high-acuity pediatric settings
