Architectural Technologist

Our architecture firm is seeking an experienced and talented Architectural Technologist to join our team in Los Angeles. As an Architectural Technologist, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for construction projects, working closely with architects and engineers to ensure designs are feasible and meet building codes and regulations. You must have a strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and architectural design principles. Key Responsibilities Create detailed technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure designs are feasible and meet building codes and regulations. Conduct site visits to gather measurements and assess existing conditions. Research building materials, construction methods, and technologies to incorporate into designs. Prepare specifications for materials, finishes, and equipment. Review project proposals and offer technical expertise on feasibility and cost-effectiveness. Communicate with contractors during the construction process to address any technical issues that arise. Ensure that all designs adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and standards. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field. Minimum of 3 years experience as an Architectural Technologist or similar role. Strong proficiency in CAD software, AutoCAD or Revit. Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards. Experience working on commercial or residential projects is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
