Role Summary: Senior Consultant, Consulting Services Group VaultBio sits at the intersection of innovation and healthcare, empowering our life science clients to unlock value by aligning opportunities with market needs. Our practice areas include clinical development, medical affairs, commercialization, business development, business transformation, and digital customer engagement. The ideal candidate Brings a strong scientific or technical foundation combined with demonstrated commercial strategy experience and is equally comfortable shaping a market entry strategy and executing the work required to bring it to life. As a Senior Consultant at VaultBio, you will own critical workstreams within client engagements, translate complex inputs into clear commercial recommendations, and help develop executive‑ready deliverables for biopharma clients. You will play a hands‑on role in project execution while also serving as a mentor and thought partner to junior colleagues. This role requires intellectual agility, client judgment, strong execution, and the ability to operate comfortably in both strategic and detail‑oriented work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Relationship Management: Build credibility with client stakeholders through strong analysis, clear communication, and high‑quality execution. Proactively identify evolving client needs and deliver high‑impact, tailored solutions. Represent the firm in high‑stakes client meetings, workshops, and advisory boards. Support the design of client projects and own execution of assigned workstreams, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timelines. Drive synthesis of complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations. Guide the development of impactful deliverables, ensuring quality and relevance for executive‑level audiences. Business Development & Thought Leadership Partner with leadership to identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients. Contribute to proposal development, client pitches, and scope definition for new engagements. Support the development of intellectual capital and thought leadership materials to elevate the firm’s market presence. Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, and professional development support to consultants and analysts. Model high performance and accountability, fostering a collaborative and high‑integrity team culture. Workshop & Meeting Facilitation Design and facilitate high‑impact client workshops, meetings, and advisory boards, ensuring productive collaboration and actionable outcomes. Develop compelling narratives and strategic frameworks for presentations that resonate with senior stakeholders. Required Experience and Skills 4+ years of management consulting experience, with meaningful experience in commercial strategy, commercialization, go‑to‑market strategy, launch planning, growth strategy, customer strategy, or related commercial workstreams. Bachelor’s degree required; life sciences, bioengineering, business, or a quantitative field preferred. Demonstrated ability to own and execute client‑facing workstreams, including research, analysis, synthesis, story lining, and executive‑ready deliverable development. Ability to operate credibly at both the strategic and execution level. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for senior business audiences. Strong project management skills, including comfort managing multiple workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders. Demonstrated mentorship and team leadership experience. Technologically fluent across communication, collaboration, data visualization, and AI‑enabled tools, including practical use of AI to accelerate research, synthesis, analysis support, drafting, and workflow efficiency. Willingness to work onsite in San Diego and travel up to 25%. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis without sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree preferred, including business, life sciences, bioengineering, or a quantitative field. Consulting experience serving pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or life sciences clients, including work with senior stakeholders on commercial strategy or commercialization topics Experience using and building AI‑enabled workflows, such as reusable prompts, research workflows, synthesis templates, knowledge management systems, automation tools, or unstructured data review approaches.
