Social Media and Content Manager

Previous experience with consumer products in the outdoor industry is highly preferred. Hunting, Fishing, Skiing, Ranching, Off-Grid, etc.. You will help build a recognizable brand voice across social channels while creating timely, authentic content that connects with audiences interested in outdoor living, fishing, hunting, off-grid lifestyles, and ranch environments. Responsibilities: Own the organic social strategy and content calendar across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms. Develop platform-specific content strategies based on audience behavior, platform culture, trends, and performance insights. Concept, shoot, edit, write, and publish engaging, platform-native content using phones, lightweight production tools, customer footage, field content, and brand assets. Create compelling hooks, captions, thumbnails, titles, calls to action, recurring content series, and storytelling formats. Build genuine relationships with customers, creators, partners, advocates, and community members through comments, direct messages, reviews, and relevant conversations. Monitor performance and optimize content based on engagement quality, audience growth, watch time, completion rates, shares, saves, sentiment, website traffic, and conversions. Partner with Brand, Creative, Performance Marketing, Product, E-commerce, and Customer Experience teams to share insights and identify opportunities for content amplification. Monitor social listening trends, competitor activity, customer questions, and emerging conversations while escalating sensitive issues and reputational risks appropriately. Must-Have Skills: Demonstrated experience managing social media and creating content for a consumer, lifestyle, outdoor, security, technology, construction, agricultural, retail, or similarly relevant brand. A portfolio showing personally created social content, including short-form video, rather than only agency management or content approvals. Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, and the distinct content behaviors of each platform. Ability to shoot and edit high-quality short-form video quickly using a phone and modern editing tools. Excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt tone, structure, messaging, and calls to action by platform. Strong understanding of social analytics and experience using performance data to guide creative decisions. Excellent judgment when engaging publicly with customers, responding to criticism, and escalating sensitive issues. Strong organization, resourcefulness, curiosity, and the ability to balance planned content with fast-moving opportunities. Nice-to-Have Skills: Professional or personal experience with Outdoors, Fishing, Hunting, off grid, or Ranch communities and content. Experience working with consumer products, outdoor equipment, technology, construction, agriculture, or security brands. Familiarity with social scheduling, listening, analytics, and reporting platforms. Experience identifying organic content suitable for paid amplification and developing creative variations. Background collaborating with creators, influencers, trade professionals, customers, and brand partners. Experience capturing content at jobsites, farms, businesses, trade shows, events, customer locations, or outdoor environments.
