Registered Nurse Progressive Care Unit
Nights, 36 hours/week. Weekday coverage with occasional weekends; rotating holidays.
Assignment Details
Contract length not specified; guaranteed hours/week: 36.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year RN experience required.
- Valid compact or state RN license in hand at time of submission.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
- Experience with telemetry, PCU/stepdown care, and post-operative transplant care preferred.
- Charting experience with Epic required.
- References: 2 professional references required; at least 1 from a manager or director.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a progressive care setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions using telemetry.
- Administer medications and IV therapies following established protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Perform procedures such as paracentesis and assist with kidney biopsy recovery.
- Recognize and manage dysrhythmias and other complications effectively.
