This position assists the Assistant Health Center Manager in hiring, coaching, training and problem solving. Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of the reception team to ensure efficient patient check-in and check-out processes. Manage appointment scheduling, patient registration, and verification of insurance information with accuracy and attention to detail. Serve as the primary point of contact for patient inquiries, addressing concerns promptly and professionally. Train, mentor, and evaluate reception staff to maintain high standards of customer service and compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to streamline workflows and improve patient experience. Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant healthcare laws. Prepare and maintain daily reports related to patient flow, appointment statistics, and administrative issues. Assist in resolving billing and insurance issues in coordination with the billing department. Skills: The Medical Receptionist Lead utilizes strong organizational and multitasking skills daily to manage patient flow and administrative duties efficiently. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, staff, and healthcare providers, ensuring clarity and professionalism in all exchanges. Leadership and team management skills are applied to train, motivate, and support the reception team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Proficiency with EHR systems and office software enables accurate data entry, scheduling, and reporting, which are critical for operational success. Additionally, problem-solving skills are frequently employed to address patient concerns, resolve scheduling conflicts, and coordinate with other departments to maintain seamless service delivery. Education - High school diploma or equivalent. Experience - Two (2) years of experience in a health care and/or insurance setting preferred. Other Requirement(s) - Fluent in English: additional fluency in other languages is valued. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
