X-Ray Technician

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Sunday-Wednesday, 10 AM - 8 PM

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated X-Ray Technician to perform diagnostic radiographic, portable, c-arm, and fluoroscopic procedures. The successful candidate will ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to established protocols and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Review patients' clinical history to ensure appropriate orders and lab results.
• Educate patients regarding procedures.
• Select and operate imaging equipment effectively.
• Position patients to accurately demonstrate anatomical areas of interest.
• Initiate basic life support when necessary.
• Determine radiographic technique and exposure factors following ALARA principles.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Report and document safety incidents and adverse events per protocol.
• Process images and review them for proper identification and quality control.
• Utilize radiology information systems, completing necessary records for physician review.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology - education verification required.
• ARRT Radiography registration is required.
• WI-DSPS radiographer license is required for work in Wisconsin.
• Current AHA Provider level BLS certification is necessary.
