Adult Congenital Heart Disease Cardiologist

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA, is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Cardiologist to expand its Cardiovascular Institute. This role involves providing high-quality care to ACHD patients in both office and hospital settings, contributing to medical education, and engaging in research initiatives. The successful candidate will join a growing team within a leading integrated health system, benefiting from significant capital investments and academic partnerships. Practice Info Primary site of practice is Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a 703-bed Level 1 Trauma/Academic/Tertiary Care Center. Office practice is located in a newly renovated medical office building within walking distance of the hospital. The Adult Cardiology section comprises 34 cardiologists. The Cardiovascular Institute will expand significantly over the next seven years with over $1 billion in capital improvements, including a new Crystal Spring Tower opening in 2025. The new building will have 7 stories and 100 beds dedicated to cardiovascular patients, serving as the largest cardiac catheterization lab in the region. Carilion Clinic is the largest not-for-profit integrated health system with seven hospitals, 220+ physician practice locations, and 25 GME programs. Responsibilities Provide office and hospital based care of ACHD patients. Ensure high quality outcomes. Provide education to general, interventional, and structural fellows. Develop a vision for growth of the program. Engage in research initiatives with Carilion Clinic, Fralin Biomedical Research Institute, and Virginia Tech. Hold an academic appointment at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Participate in medical student education. Compensation Min Starting Salary: $520,000. Max Starting Salary: $748,056.
