At PGIM, You Can!We are seeking an Associate or Senior Associate level Agency Underwriter, dependent upon prior experience, to join our Agency Lending business. As a member of the multifamily underwriting team, this role plays a critical part in managing loan transactions from initial screening through final approval. You’ll work closely with clients, Agency partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure thorough due diligence and credit analysis, while also mentoring junior team members and contributing to the strategic direction of the underwriting function. This is a highly collaborative role that combines technical expertise with leadership and client engagement.The role will be a hybrid role (3 days working in the office).What you can expectMonitor the collection and due diligence materials as well as approval of due diligence materials reviewed by underwriting staff.Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and may be the point of contact on credit and underwriting issues with the Agency, when necessary.Responsible for training underwriting team members.Complete review, analysis and approval of due diligence materials related to a loan submission.Review and provide commentary on third party reports.Finalize the underwriting narrative and model and/or provide direction to underwriting staff.Ensure on-going communication on all aspects of the loan process with key stakeholders.Conduct site visits independently.Present to Investment/Loan Committee when necessary.Research and analyze markets/submarket trends and fundamentalsAbility to collaborate with Agency partners as necessary throughout the transaction.Mentorship of Analysts.What you will bring Bachelors Degree and 4+ years of experience in commercial underwriting experienceAbility to take ownership for loan transactions and manage workload with minimal supervisionThorough product knowledge of Agency financing and general multifamily financing alternativesProficient in analysis of Mortgage Credit and Borrower structuresExperience mentoring and training junior team membersWhat will set you apart: Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detailProven management capabilityExcellent critical thinking and decision-making skills*PGIM welcomes all applicants, even if you don't meet every requirement. The salary range for this role is from $120,000 to $140,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
