Phlebotomist Floater

Job Overview LabCorp is hiring a Phlebotomist Float in Madison, AL. Schedule: Monday – Friday, rotating Saturdays, with hours between 6:00am and 6:00pm. The role involves performing blood collections across all age groups, data entry, billing, specimen preparation, and maintaining logs. Vaccination requirement: fully vaccinated for COVID‑19. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely. Process billing information and collect payments when necessary. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent. 2years or more of phlebotomy experience. Preferred Qualifications 3years or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation. Minimum age 21 years. Compensation & Benefits Float incentive: Additional $1.00hr plus mileage reimbursement. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Employees scheduled 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and employee stock purchase plan. Employees scheduled less than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are only eligible for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible for all benefits except PTO or FTO.
