Dental Health Informatics Training and Development Specialist - Dental Clinics Location : Chicago, IL USA Requisition ID : 1041168 Posting Close Date : July 15, 2026 Salary : $90,000-$105,000 (budgeted) Overview The College of Dentistry, Dental Clinics Department at the University of Illinois Chicago seeks a full‑time academic professional to design, implement, and maintain comprehensive training programs for electronic health record (EHR) end‑users within the UIC College of Dentistry. The role ensures faculty, staff, students, and residents are effectively onboarded, trained, and supported in utilizing EHR systems for both clinical and academic purposes. Responsibilities Evaluate training needs of all EHR end‑users and develop tailored solutions applying new ideas in content design, content management, and eLearning/multimedia tool usage. Design, update, and deliver instructor‑led, online, and blended learning curricula, including e‑learning modules, printed materials, tip sheets, and in‑person sessions. Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for faculty, staff, students, and residents in the EHR system in collaboration with UIHealth. Support ongoing user adoption and provide timely assistance in clinical and academic settings. Perform other duties as assigned related to informatics training. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an oral health profession, health informatics, health information management, or a clinical discipline with educational or informatics focus. Minimum of three (3) years working with an electronic health record (EHR) or developing EHR training, education, or clinical informatics, including direct support of end users in an oral health organization, healthcare, or academic health science setting. Master’s degree and licensure in oral health sciences or DDS/DMD or equivalent (e.g., MPH, MPA, RDH) preferred. Experience with oral health curriculum and prior teaching experience preferred. Working knowledge of Epic Wisdom Dental software desired; candidate must obtain Epic certification within 6 months of hire.
