Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will help manage site entry, verify badges and credentials, monitor assigned areas, and support a professional, welcoming experience. You will remain visible, help to reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with employees, visitors, and contractors while reflecting our agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first values. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM Sun 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential checks, and other security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location. Monitor pedestrian and vehicle entry points, verify authorization for entry, and help to deter unauthorized access, prohibited items, and suspicious activity in accordance with location protocols. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, emergency personnel, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed. Document visitor activity, deliveries, and access-related incidents through logs, reports, and other required records while following post orders and regulatory guidelines for the location. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including access points, parking areas, and restricted zones, as directed by site procedures and operational needs. Minimum Requirements At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
