History Teacher

We are looking for a History Teacher for an international school based in Beijing. This position is available from the upcoming 2026-27 school year starting in August 2026.About the schoolThis international school in Beijing offers an American curriculum from Pre-K to Grade 12, serving expatriate families in the local community. The school provides a character-focused learning environment, with most classes taught in English and AP courses available for high school students.The school currently has around 170 students, supported by approximately 30 international teachers and over 10 Chinese teachers. The curriculum covers STEM, humanities, fine arts, Chinese language, and enrichment programs, helping students develop academically and personally in an international setting.Job ResponsibilitiesTeach AP History to middle and high school students in grades G6 to G12, ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience.Prepare lessons, teaching materials, assessments, and report comments according to the school curriculum and academic requirementsAssess and monitor students’ progress and provide clear learning targets to support student improvement.Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, parents, and caregivers.Collaborate with other teachers and school departments to support curriculum development and student learning.Create a supportive, safe, and positive classroom environment for all students.QualificationsAt least 2 years of relevant teaching experienceExperience teaching history, AP, or a related subject is preferredBachelor’s degree or above is preferredTeaching qualification such as TEFL, PGCE, QTS, or equivalent is preferred but not requiredSalary and BenefitsMonthly salary of 25,000 to 35,000 RMB commensurate with qualifications and experienceMonthly housing allowance or apartment support negotiablePaid winter and summer holidays, around 2–3 months per yearAirfare allowance negotiableSocial insurance providedWork visa sponsorship providedMeals available at the school canteenDependent child education benefit negotiable
