Operations Manager

Overview The Operations Manager is responsible for managing and providing strategic guidance to operations Team Leaders. This position also accounts for developing and adhering to the annual production budget, participating in new product development and planning, and attending and participating in various organizational meetings. Responsibilities Communicate with associates with a focus on providing personal development and work–related performance feedback. Monitor daily operation schedules for all departments to ensure accuracy and that daily operational goals are realized. Perform a daily walk-through of all areas of the operations facility. Provide strategic guidance to the organization through participation in meetings. Track key performance indicators of operations including quality, service, safety and cost. Share operations goals and guidelines for achieving them with facility leadership. Be receptive to performance feedback and respond positively. Participate in new product development and planning by researching cost and feasibility, communicating new product production plans to Team Leaders, and helping implement new production. Develop the operations annual budget by analyzing spending and allocation of resources, incorporating feedback from Team Leaders. Adhere to the approved operations annual budget and provide budget updates and adjustments as requested to Vice President. Minimum Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Minimum of ten years’ experience in a food production facility; bakery or frozen food industry experience preferred. Excellent communication and coaching skills. Detail‑oriented, organized, and proficient in spreadsheets, databases, and word processing. Excellent technical knowledge of equipment, products and processes. Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and strong personal skills. Strong background in HACCP, safety, GMP, and AIB. Hands‑on work ethic. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Supervisory Responsibilities Oversee the performance of operations Team Leaders and the overall operations of all associates, including final decisions on staffing needs, disciplinary actions, development and evaluation of work objectives, and realignment of assignments as necessary. Working Conditions and Physical Effort Daily exposure to environmental elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and noise. Requires standing, sitting at a desk, walking around plant, lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds, fine‑dexterity tasks, and the ability to see, hear, and communicate by professional etiquette with all levels of associates and external vendors. Personal protective equipment will be provided. Salary and Benefits Salary range: $101,023.00 – $189,457.00. Compensation varies based on experience and location.
