Welder/Pipe Fitter

Welder / Pipe FitterBuild critical pump systems for the oil & gas industry while working a 4-day workweek. We're looking for a skilled Welder/Pipe Fitter who takes pride in precision fabrication, quality welds, and craftsmanship.What You'll DoFabricate, fit, assemble, and weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy piping systems.Read blueprints, P&IDs, isometric drawings, and weld specifications.Perform TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), FCAW, and SMAW welding.Install valves, fittings, flanges, supports, and instrumentation on pump packages.Measure, align, and verify components to ensure accuracy and quality.Support fit-up inspections, pressure testing, and final assembly.Troubleshoot fabrication and welding issues while maintaining high workmanship standards.Partner with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to deliver projects on time.Follow all safety procedures and maintain an organized work area.What We're Looking For3+ years of pipe fitting and welding experience in industrial manufacturing, oil & gas, process equipment, or similar environments.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and fabrication drawings.Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloys.Proficiency with TIG, MIG, FCAW, and SMAW processes.Strong measuring, layout, and troubleshooting skills.Ability to pass welding qualification tests.High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred QualificationsTechnical school or trade certification.Experience with API standards, ASME Section IX, pressure vessel welding, or 5G positions.Prior experience in pump packaging or complex process piping systems.Lead-level experience or the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.Why Join Us?4-day workweek (Monday-Thursday).Stable workload with long-term projects.Opportunity to grow into a lead role.Well-equipped, organized fabrication shop.Strong safety culture and supportive team environment.Long-tenured workforce and excellent job stability.Schedule2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday, 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM.If you're a skilled pipe fitter and welder looking for long-term stability, career growth, and challenging fabrication work, we'd love to hear from you.This is a Permanent position based out of Albany, NY.The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
