Employment Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

This position has typical work hours Monday – Friday from 7:30AM – 5:30PM, Saturday as needed

Job Summary:

The mobile tire technician will be responsible for mounting, dismounting and balancing passenger and light truck tires, performing minor general services such as oil changes, battery replacement etc. as well as interacting with customers during mobile service calls. Employees in this position will be working in multiple conditions inside and outside, must be focused on both safety and customer satisfaction.

Essential Functions and Tasks:

• Mount and dismount new tires on passenger cars and light duty trucks.
• Balance tires utilizing appropriate equipment.
• Responsible for various types of tire repairs.
• Oil changes, general maintenance
• Keep service area clean to enhance a safe work environment.
• Responsible for following all safety regulations, processes and procedures required by Parrish Tire Company, TIA, OSHA and NCDOL.
• Communicate safety concerns and customer problems with their manager immediately.
• Must meet Parrish Tire Company and North Carolina driving requirements prior to driving customers or company vehicles.

• Any other duties assigned by the store manager

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in a service-related industry
• Self-starter
• Must have prior experience as a tire/automotive technician
• Valid Driver’s License
• Clean driving record
• Must be 21 years or older

Required Physical Abilities:

Physical requirements of this position may require a range of activities. These can include, but are not limited to:

• Lifting and carrying – the ability to lift and transport objects of specified weights, which may vary by job. For example, a job may require lifting up 25-50lbs regularly. 
• Standing and walking – this position will require standing and walking for periods of time
• Bending and stooping – bending, stooping, or crouching are requiring to effectively preform essential duties of this position.
• Reaching and pushing/pulling – the ability to reach for items, push carts, or pull equipment will be necessary for daily activities.
• Sitting – there will be times this position will be needed to sit for prolonged periods of time.
• This position will also be required to operate certain machinery and other equipment safely.

Work Environment:

This position will require employees to work in certain weather conditions, such as heat, cold, as well as potentially confined spaces.
