Area Facilities Manager

As an Area Facilities Manager, you oversee maintenance operations for a home community and support 5–7 additional communities, ensuring safe, compliant, and well‑maintained environments for residents and team members. What You’ll Do Lead day-to-day facilities operations at your home community Support Maintenance Coordinators across your regional cluster Ensure compliance with life safety, AHJ, and regulatory requirements Oversee preventive maintenance and TELS CMMS compliance Manage capital projects, vendor bids, and contract performance Provide 24‑hour emergency response support as needed Conduct facility audits and semi‑annual building reviews Train, coach, and mentor maintenance team members Assist with budgeting, expense control, and insurance claims Support new community openings and occupancy readiness standards You play a critical leadership role in protecting assets, maintaining compliance, and delivering high‑quality environments that enhance resident experience. What We’re Looking For 5+ years facilities management experience Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems Supervisory experience leading maintenance teams Ability to read blueprints and manage vendor contracts Strong problem‑solving and time‑management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems Flexibility to travel and work weekends as needed Pay Range 28.45–38.00 Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Plans Retirement Savings Plans Employee Assistant Program / Discount Program Paid time off (PTO), sick time, and holiday pay MyFlexPay offered to get paid within hours of a shift Tuition Reimbursement In addition to base compensation, Sunrise may offer discretionary and/or non‑discretionary bonuses.
